The room was beautiful and for someone who likes feeling "connected" to the city I'm in, I really appreciated the view from the balcony - surrounding buildings lit by sun, people going on with daily activities like midday prayer, playing backgammon, smoking sheesha. You can hear some sounds from the outside, but El Otel is surrounded by smaller streets and we didn't find the sounds inconvenient - which was great, especially considering this is downtown Cairo. The hotel staff is beyond exceptional - super friendly and helpful, always inviting if you want to ask some questions or just have a casual chat. If you want to stay in Cairo, I wouldn't look any further.
Very cute room with small little details that were thoughtful. Lovely staff who were very helpful. Bathroom was incredibly cute and clean. Ideal location in the heart of the city, if you want a busy area to get a feel for Cairo life this is the place to stay. The room itself was quiet and the air conditioner was very appreciated. Very good value for price, would highly recommend.
The room is simple but big and clean, provides good whites and beddings. Location good for shopping and transportation. The shared kitchen provides free teas.
We liked how the room decorated in a pink mood and we did a very cool birthday for my sister. The hotel also very clean and homey
It’s a female-owned hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious, the mattress very comfortable, nice thick blanket, air conditioning, clean white bedding, charming decorations, lovely little things here and there. You can tell the owners care. Great location to explore the downtown area, and not noisy.
The location is convinient, breakfast is tasty and huge (for me), falafel is the best! :)Rooms are comfortable and beds (mattress) are very good. The hotel guideline is adorable! All the staff is brilliant! All of them are very caring, friendly and helpful!
The rooms were very clean, spacious, comfortable. Helmy, Mukka and all the staff were all super helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. It felt like a safe place. Good location downtown for seeing everything. They also helped us organise tours. Good value for money.
- great and helping people working there- the rooms and halls look amazing!- the place is clean, shower works great- nice Egyptian breakfast- good bed- great location so close to the center
Staff were young, smart, active, friendly, and so helpful. Especially, Mauka and Helmy are great. The housekeeper were nice and helpful. The building was old but well renovated. Toilet and shower room was shared but it was always clean and well maintained.
The place was great, the room was amazing and it was super clean. The bathroom had ventilation so it doesn't keep the smells. The hosts were super nice! We spent some time talking to them and it was great! The breakfast was really good and they carry it to your room in the morning, we felt like princesses hahahaThe location was also great, you could go walking to some beautiful parts from Cairo.
