Very cute room with small little details that were thoughtful. Lovely staff who were very helpful. Bathroom was incredibly cute and clean. Ideal location in the heart of the city, if you want a busy area to get a feel for Cairo life this is the place to stay. The room itself was quiet and the air conditioner was very appreciated. Very good value for price, would highly recommend.
Staff were young, smart, active, friendly, and so helpful. Especially, Mauka and Helmy are great. The housekeeper were nice and helpful. The building was old but well renovated. Toilet and shower room was shared but it was always clean and well maintained.
Spotless clean room, attention to details. Even the toilet paper is wrapped with beautiful floral paper. The hotel staff went beyond to take all my luggage out while I was late for my flight. Thank you so much! I really felt the love they put into their business. The location is also very good to visit around. I would return here without hesitation.
Big love from Loulou and her familly to the staff, Hilmi and Mauka were so Nice to us since our early arrival , they helped us alot and were so freindly and helpfulThe emplacement is in downtown cairo so close to everything
The room was beautiful and for someone who likes feeling "connected" to the city I'm in, I really appreciated the view from the balcony - surrounding buildings lit by sun, people going on with daily activities like midday prayer, playing backgammon, smoking sheesha. You can hear some sounds from the outside, but El Otel is surrounded by smaller streets and we didn't find the sounds inconvenient - which was great, especially considering this is downtown Cairo. The hotel staff is beyond exceptional - super friendly and helpful, always inviting if you want to ask some questions or just have a casual chat. If you want to stay in Cairo, I wouldn't look any further.
It’s a female-owned hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious, the mattress very comfortable, nice thick blanket, air conditioning, clean white bedding, charming decorations, lovely little things here and there. You can tell the owners care. Great location to explore the downtown area, and not noisy.
It was a cozy hotel in the center of Cairo, located on the fifth floor of a building. The room was beautiful, clean, and nicely decorated. Just like the images. The employees were very nice and helped us with our needs. The breakfast was served on a tray every morning. The bed sheets and towels were also clean.
I stayed here for 4 nights across my week long trip throughout Egypt and gladly transformed a last minute booking into a what felt like a second home in Egypt.First off - the staff are absolutely amazing. Yousef, Helmy, and Mauka are sweet, caring, and so helpful and I can happily call them friends by the end of my stay (and already miss them <3). While I was traveling back and forth through the country, they let me keep my bags at the property and were always happy to give me recommendations or just chat! I've never met such a wonderfully friendly group of men anywhere I've stayed. The rooms themselves are well maintained, nicely decorated, and incredibly spacious. It's on the 5th floor of a building - similar to many other hotels in downtown Cairo so don't be dismayed when you first walk through the lobby. The rooms are gorgeous and a steal for the price. The breakfast was also delicious, very filling, ans incredibly prompt based on the time scheduled. The tours scheduled through the hotel were also the best ones I took during my stay in Egypt. They're well curated and hosted by kind, knowledgable guides with particularly strong English. I'd really recommend booking through the hotel vs. searching on other sites.Lastly, the location is perfect. You're an easy walk to major sites like the National Museum, well located to buses and transit, in an area near many cafes and shops and easy part of town to commute between neighborhoods.Could not recommend this place enough! Can't wait to come back to Cairo one day soon and stay again.
